polyfest here we come!

Kia Ora, talofa lava, malo e lelei, faakalofa lahi atu, kia orana, bula vinaka, namaste and greetings!!  It’s Pasifika week in Aotearoa, this means it’s a week long celebration of all things Pacific.  This includes the birthday dance we had with Mrs Tele’a!  Part of the celebration is the Polyfest!  This Thursday we are planning to travel to Manukau to take part in some workshops and then visit stages.  The two stages we will be visiting will be the Maori and Diversity stages.  Did you know that this event - the Polyfest celebrates 40 years since it’s beginning?  Awesome isn’t it!

Young people love to dance on the stages and their family love it, and young people are proud of they culture and Builds up their confidence and speak in different cultures.

These are the steps one might take to performing at the polyfest.

When Hannah play the samoan Music all the boy came in.Than Miss Tele’a was dancing in the Middle and some of the girls was dancing too.After that Mrs peota came in and laying down on the floor than Miss Tele’a put her feet on Mrs peota and all the year 7 and 8 was there watching Miss Tele’a and the boys and girls dancing.After that we went back to our reading group and writing about Miss Tele’a  Birthday.

When Miss Peato was talking to us  Mr Wiseman was still playing the guitar and then he kicked the door.Then Miss maola and Mrs clark and miss  tele’a come out and  sing happy Birthday to Miss peato.Then Miss clark gave the Birthday cake to Miss peato to blow the candle.Then Miss peato was happy she laughed and laughed.After that we stop singing happy Birthday.
